I'm so pleased to return to the Buyer's Market of American Craft for their August 2010 show. I'll be included among three other Richmond artists who will be showing their wonderful works of art alongside in booths 1429 & 1529. Pictured are photos from last August's booth. 
This weekend's show Handmade Holiday Craft Show is by far one of my favorites. There's such a good energy this close to the holiday break. Folks are generally cheerful and appreciative of the creative spirit in the room. Fun times. Come on over if you're in RVA and we'll share in the spirit together.
kacey of Found Studio's online etsy shop holds all sorts of goodness. i love love love her paintings. so beautiful. we have 3 of her tasty bacon ornaments for the tree and egg ornaments to come! kacey's work will be at our richmond holiday hotcakes show december 15th! 
ana's hands with her beautiful polish! i love the work that ana puts into her pottery and jewelry. she's a potter, minister, and traveler (among other talents). ana's work will also be in the richmond holiday hotcakes show!
my concentric table circles captured. i love these and they received so many compliments. had to share this image, which i truly enjoy. this great program is called ShakeItPhoto for iphone. thanks to sarah of the small object for posting about this app! i've been wanting something fauxlariod (in the spirit of polariod) and i like this program better than the other i downloaded.

A new tree that will be available (soon) online & during the upcoming shows as mixed media. This week marks the beginning of the holiday shows. Susannah of Zou Zou's Basement and I will be busy, busy combining these shows into our lives. We're grateful for the opportunity to share our wears & art with folks as we create what inspires us. silver tree art has successfully completed it's first trade show. from start to finish, three other members of the Richmond Etsy Street Team and myself gathered, prepared, and worked at the Philadelphia Buyer's Market of American Craft. what an amazing weekend. while the weekend at a buyer's market has a very different feel of retail shows/indie craft shows, it was still filled with good people, amazing art, and some really good food.

summertime is truly upon us. we're enjoying the warmth of the outdoors & bounty of the garden (ours & our organic farmer friends). i'm also finding inspiration in so many amazing artists, illustrators, and crafters around me, from local to across the world. over the summer, i want to share some of those inspirations as i encounter them, whether for the first time or a return to their creativity. 
strawberry street festival was so fun. this parrot was so lovely. when he sat on my arm, his feet/claws were so incredibly warm, as was the day. susannah of zou zous basement and i shared the shade of the tent as we introduced new folks and returning folks to our wears. what fun. thanks to all who included us in their mothers' day makings.
Today's the day of the show. Modern June's wears, as well as Bees Knees Studio, Benevolent Beads (three women raising funds for the Central VA Food Bank with their beaded jewelry) and Jayme Reaves Photography will be available. 
below is one of my four pieces in this year's art karma - a fab silent auction - and you can bid on this piece and many others (170 items!). it was great to solicit items from some talented folks for the third year and to donate again also! i've loved supporting art 180 in small ways over the years. and it's never enough. i mention all of this now to say that you can join in the fun. if you can't make it to the party - and yes, it is a party - you can come to my show this saturday. in order to keep the path toward the good i'm making a contribution of a percentages of THIS saturday's sales at Stir Crazy Cafe' to art 180. just can't tell you how amazing they are.
