reverberations: to write: day 2

December 2 Writing.
What do you do each day that doesn’t contribute to your writing — and can you eliminate it?
(Author: Leo Babauta)

wow. it's amazing that today of all days i had a "pep talk" with a professor & friend who is an author of multiple books. i cannot imagine that there isn't something that contributes to the whole: to writing, to living, to loving. each step, each moment has the potential to contribute to the other.

the catch is, i'm not writing as i should be. my writing goals aren't written out. i'm not sitting in my spot and typing words on a regular basis that can be the book i want to write. i do blog, but the routine of writing in this space isn't consistent. of course there are the posts that are written in my mind before coming to the computer, but there's not a discipline.

so it's more an answer of what needs to happen to make writing more consistent. i'll be planting myself in one spot, creating a plan, and moving forward. i'm thankful for each step leading me to this moment and i am looking forward, looking ahead to what one word after the next can become as it takes shape.
