new series! feather love. in process.

feathers bring such delight.  i love my collection of feathers in my kitchen window altar.  they're so lovely to look upon.   often i think of my dreams not as clouds but as feathers.  one day when i have enough feathers gathered, my dreams will spread wings and fly.  

as such, feathers are becoming as significant to me as circles.  

feathers are carrying the wisdom to new spaces. 

i've been sitting with these for weeks.  

do they receive color?  are they white + black?  

both?  

still sitting, but not for long.  these are meant to fly!

life stories: a scene of illustration work.

i love, love, love a creative challenge.  i love being asked to help others with a short deadline.  somehow i fit that gap pretty well and can usually make a tight deadline.  here you see a scene of an illustration project in process.  i'll share the completed project when the article's officially published online.  i'm tickled pink when opportunity + desire + skill lines up so well.  through this process, i questioned my work, asking if i was on the right track.  the questions are part of the creative process.  i must stop & look. listen to myself and listen to the creative spirit.  then. then. everything comes together and is affirmed.

julia pott is just simply an awesome illustrator.  i recently purchased her show reel from her etsy shop and have really enjoyed her work.  the illustrations that i have, including some original drawings (being included in each purchase) make me smile.  i love the way she connects life through her animals.  the first time i was introduced to her work was through her short film First Crush on This American Life Live.  good stuff.  enjoy browsing her site and her blog and go see what's new in her etsy shop, along with an amazing shop update.  so inspiring.  enjoy.
